About April: She/her, 28yo. I'm in charge of this place, a homebase for myyy art from the Elysium'verse world, shared by myself & my friend Fenixe! I like mythology (specifically Greek mythology, specifically Chthonic Greek mythology), creepy things, cute things, glittery things, gothy things, rainbow things. Obsessed with various media that usually fits into any of the above criteria. When I was 5 years old I watched Disney’s Hercules and it basically ruined my life forever and that’s why I’m like this. HI WHAT THE HELL IS THE ELYSIUM'VERSE
The Elysium'verse" is the colloquial “title” used to reference the universe the artwork and stories here take place within, an ongoing, eternal, closed RP world built over the course of more than a decade. In short, a bastardized Chthonic Greek mythological funzone.
But what IS it?! What is it about?
WELL HERE’S THE THING - the Elysium'verse is not really a story in the traditional sense - like, there’s no real plot, there’s no linear beginning, middle, and end - or point being made. Because it exists in the form of an active RP universe that we have been running since, uh… middle school… the “plot” is just Stuff That Happens. More specifically, a ridiculous amount of Exceptionally Dramatic Stuff That Happens. If anything, it’s more like an endless soap opera.
The loose gist and its beginning roots is that it’s centered upon Macaria ( "Maci" ), Princess of the Underworld, Goddess of the Elysian Fields, and daughter of Hades & Persephone. Long ago she fell in love with and apotheosized a human mortal, Alastor ( "Tory" ). They married, established a palace in the Elysian Fields (AKA ✧*̥˚Elysium*̥˚✧), and began collecting a community of quirky friends to live with them, eventually becoming one big wild family. And there’s drama! Adventures! Couples! Villains! Babies! And on, and on! And on and on.
Are these characters from Greek mythology or are they OCs?
…Yes.
The long answer is, the Elysium'verse takes place primarily in the setting of the (loosely modern day) Greek Underworld and roughly about half of our characters have legitimate basis as existing Ancient Greek Chthonic mythological figures of varying levels of obscurity. The other half, after natural progression of over a decade, consist of either of some characters just pulled from thin air, or second and third generation babies (and offspring who have grown up).
However, even the characters who have started off with mythological basis have been so wildly customized and changed that we do wholeheartedly consider them to be OCs, and each of them have original designs, personalities, and backstories that are not mythologically exclusive - just inspired.
In summary, do not use any of this as a real Greek mythology guide.
Are all of these OCs your characters?
No! Good catch! The Elysium'verse very much belongs to two people!
Though all of these characters fall under one singular umbrella, at this point the Elysium'verse is split halfsies between myself and my aforementioned partner-in-crime Fenixe. Some OCs are “mine” and some OCs are “hers” - AKA this means within our canon RP source material, I portray & write for some of the characters you see, and she portrays & writes the others!
So why is everyone always in a huge conglomerate pile all mixed together? Basically, due to the way that I am as a person lmao, I am delighted to be the self-appointed designated PR Rep and Spokesperson for our entire cast - like, weird mom to some, weird aunt to others. Though it’s usually always me talking (Fenixe prefers their social media presence to be invisible, though she is lurking everywhere I am tee hee), I do only ever formally canonize stuff about my characters and she’s always got the final say on all of hers the same way - I'm just out here drawing for two!
If it makes sense to think of it this way, consider the fact that we treat Elysium'verse as your standard fandom, and I’m generating fancontent the same way anyone might do for their favorite TV show: writing headcanons, drawing specific scenes from favorite episodes, speculating on what might happen next… I just also happen to be one of the showrunners, and I’ve got the other showrunner on speed dial.*
*(Note: despite this, Fenixe and I are notorious for NEVER PLANNING ANYTHING OUT WITH EACH OTHER EVER THOUGH, so most of the time anything that happens is a fun surprise to the other one of us too, not just you the spectator!)
Can I make fanart, fanfic, headcanons, cosplay, etc etc…
YOU CAN ALWAAAYSSS DO ANY OF THESE THINGS just please credit back to us! Again these specific versions of these characters are OCs and not intended as public domain mythos!
But! The one boundary that exists is that the Elysium'verse world is a closed universe, so although fanart and likewise is loveloveloved and appreciated - please kindly refrain from joining in with your own fancharacters, unless we’re friends! Sorry!! Please enjoy the show though!

In a lateral shift of Greek myth to Norse myth, since 2012 the Elysium'verse has ALSO been famously home to none other than. Um. Loki himself! Yes that one! Fresh off the scene from… a certain two movies of events, residing amongst our whole cast. Referred to OoC as Elysium!Loki, ELoki, or just EeL for shorthand, Loki may TECHNICALLY be from…. y'know; but as far as I’m concerned he’s just one of ours and SHHHH. the M word is forbidden on this blog. xoxo
…Does that mean that the Elysium'verse takes place in the MCU.
No!! …Okay technically yes, sort of.
The MCU (a fandom that I have long since divorced myself from, hence my frantic and constant backpedaling bear with me), is only canon to Elysium up to 2012, the end of the Avengers (1), after which all subsequent movies and events are no longer considered canon. The branch splits immediately following, where once Thor took Loki back to Asgard - Loki jumped off the Bifrost a second time, and landed in our Underworld instead of continuing into Thor:TDW, which doesn’t exist here. Although, fun fact: the Loki in TDW remains the closest to EeL’s ongoing personality and attitude. Which is,,…continually hilarious to me.
(Like, the Elysium'verse exists perpetually in that idealized 2012 sweet spot fanfiction era of the Avengers being besties living in the tower together, the MCU may have betrayed us all but the dream remains in the periphery of our silly liittle OC'verse;
that’s also literally not even relevant at all other than to provide some sheepish background; a decade later no one else is IN here except Loki himself, and HE’S been here for so long that I genuinely forget he’s not just one of the gang’s OCs. He is in my heart!)
So is this MCU Loki or Norse Myth Loki?

Well. EeL is his own entity… to us.
But almost all of Norse mythos - including, crucially, The Kids - is in fact canon to Elysium, just having taken place long before his arrival here and thus prior to the events of Thor 1/Avengers 1.

Haha uhh well... not really anywhere. Here...? I guess? What's referred to as The Canon Elysium'verse, our source material, solely exists in the form of thousands and thousands of pages of private script-style RP shenanigans that are filed away in like, my personal archives, and so this site is lowkey serving as the singular, comprehensive Published Content for this world.
Beyond this entire insane website, the adventures of the Elysium'verse are simply publicly contained within what you see me (hi still April talking, hello hi) posting about - there has been plenty of art generated among the years for each of these characters and many of the events that have taken place. That's what this website is for! THE CAPTIONS ARE USUALLY IMPORTANT. This art can be also found across my various social media platforms run by meee, please visit my Linktree links in my bio for my other accounts. In each of these spots, various liveblogging, infodumping, and unhinged rambling can also be found, where I generally talk a lot about our characters and sometimes canon events when/as they happen.
